Our parish outreach ministry serves the poor, the sick and the marginalized in our parish and community. We work in collaboration with a variety of faith communities, social service agencies, such as, Catholic Charities, BirthRight, Special Olympics, Crisis Control, and others. We offer financial assistance, volunteers or in-kind gifts to these agencies.
We offer direct service through:
· Referrals to appropriate agencies
· Holiday Assistance — Christmas Angel Tree, and Thanksgiving baskets
· Collecting food and other goods from parishioners and transporting them to local food pantries

Blessing Bags for the homeless of Winston-Salem and Senior Services
Catholic Charities
In this ministry, parishioners make quilts for the needy in the Winston Salem area. We work with OLM/OLF Outreach ministry. This is for adults only, and the only requirement is to thread a needle! The group meets on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. We enjoy making the quilts and fellowship with each other.
The Karenni Ministry at OLM consists of a group of parishioners who aid Karenni refugees in adjusting and acclimating to life in Winston-Salem. The Karenni are an ethnic group from Burma / Myanmar who fled to refugee camps in Thailand. Most came to the USA in 2009. The Catholic Karenni group has been attending OLM since 2012. Volunteers assit with English language translation and explanation of written documents such as bills, mail and school communications.
Call the Parish Office for more information or to volunteer to be part of this ministry.
