  • A Message from Fr. Cory regarding Winter Storms

At present, we are monitoring the forecasted winter weather which is expected this weekend. Please note the following:

--Masses will still be offered according to the normal schedule at Our Lady of Mercy. In the event that road conditions are hazardous on Sunday, Mass at Our Lady of Fatima will be cancelled, and we will send out notification by Sunday morning.

--All parishioners are advised that even with the normal Mass schedule still in place, you are to use your discretion in determining whether or not to attempt to travel the roads and attend Mass. You do not sin by missing Mass for cause of bad weather. Please use your best judgement and do not unnecessarily endanger yourself by traveling on icy roads.

--Please remember that even if Masses are not to take place or you are unable to attend that the parish still has operating expenses, and we appreciate if you can still send in your offertory envelope or give online via the parish website. Very often, bad weather suppressing attendance also hurts offertory, and thus hurts our ability to continue to pay staff and various bills.

Please be safe in the coming days if you attempt to travel and be sure to have a plan to be prepared at home. Let us keep one another in prayer.
